Blue Orange Green Pink Purple

[the world through my lens]

I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking pictures!!! You can ask the people who are around me the most about my photo craze. I like to randomly take out my camera whenever I feel like it is a photographic moment in my head. It doesn't even have to be anything special. There's just something about capturing a certain angle or certain moment that entices me and makes me happy! :D Most of the pictures that I have posted in the first two blog entries are from my old phone (Sony Ericsson 880i) and the rest are from my old camera (Olympus Stylus 400). The camera I currently use is a Canon SD 880 IS which I love a lot. <3 I also use my phone to capture moments when I don't have my camera with me. I recently bought a DSLR (Canon Rebel XS)!:D There is minor Picasa or Photoshop editing for some of the pictures. I know these aren't the best pictures in the world, but enjoy them anyway because they are special to me! :) p.s. clicking on the pictures will let you look at them big version :)

"ME!! PICK ME TO DO IT!!!"

After going to a 12 year old's birthday party, I am quite the shocked. I have forgotten how CRAZY and HYPER 11 and 12 year olds are even though I tutored six graders last year. The group of girls asked me to help them make rice krispie treats and I complied since it was easy and thought it'd be fun. It took a while for them to get all the supplies they needed from around the kitchen and then one of the girls started eating the marshmallows from the bag before we even started (uh...haha). I quickly ushered them to the stove where I gave each of them something to do, whether it was melting the butter, opening the box of cereal/pouring it in, pouring in the marshmallows, or stirring the whole thing together. This is where they went crazy and started yelling and laughing like crazy. Nevertheless, the rice krispies came out alright (can it even go wrong??) and the girls were happy.

Oh! and here's the kid with the fluffy hair. He's such a cutie!

Here's some kids art as well :)

"can you play with me?"

I've known this kiddo since he was born and he's quite the amusing and cute. Look at his fun hair! hahah he just woke up and it was like that. He loves when my brother goes over to his house because that means he gets to play on the wii (which he normally doesn't get to) so it's pretty cute watching him ask my brother to go over to play.

fatty photo post!

Here is my fatty photo post for my lack of posting =P Enjoy!

Look at those pretty clouds! This was on our way to retreat. I apologize for the pole and the cone that are obstructing your view of the prettiness.

THIS, my friends is awesomeness on a cold, rainy day. Korean instant ramen + dumplings + chinese veggies = :) :) :)

It was my first time eating at Islands..evar. and this burger was epic-ly big. It was the "Hawaiian" burger (perhaps due to the pineapple) with a little too much sauce and endless fries.

The first week I was back at work this quarter, I was told that a certain professor needed us to give him/her 1051 slides by the end of the week. Now keep in mind that I haven't been to work since 10th week of last quarter so I'm still thinking of the different steps that we do with different slides at work and then to hear that we need to process over 1000 slides I was like uh....really?? No wonder my boss was super stressed. But have no fear. The new kiddos and my old co worker finished them all speedily and all was well. With the next assignment I got, I get to work with this nifty little lightbox! It's much more convenient that taking each slide and looking up to the ceiling light with it. Much love for whoever invented it.

Sorry that this picture isn't all that clear. I saw this tree as I was running to class (late) one day and wanted to take a picture of it because there are THREE different colored leaves on it (as Megan would say, "SUPER CUTE!")..BUT I didn't have my camera with me that day. So I took a picture of it the next time I was running to that class. The tree looked cooler in person. Trust.

josh(8:20:29 PM): just try

A Picture A Day!

So as I talked to Mandy yesterday, she told me about her little picture a day project for a year and she told me to join in. hahha I think i will try for a month and go from there :) Since I missed the first three days, here are four pictures for you today!

I came back to the apartment and saw joe's pitcher and thought...whoa..it's so shiny!! :)

These are two of the yummy snacks that I brought back from HK. well...one is gum. but it's still a snack :)

Here is a new scented thing that Cathy brought back for our apartment. It helps our apartment smell yummy. haha

I looked on the board when I walked in the door and found this...apparently Audrey drew nice fun pictures on the board and then Terry was causing mischief and edited it. hahaha. pucca scared.
