The first place we visited was the Getty Center on gloomy, overcast day. I had a lot of trouble working with the manual settings on my dslr, so I decided to just switch to automatic. If only the sun came out and the clouds parted, it would have been a great time to experiment with the settings but this shall suffice. Cathy, Christine, Mandy, and I spent 3 hours of silliness and fun amongst flowers and amazing artwork.
As I was being frustrated with the manual setting on my camera, I attempted to look like I knew what I was doing as I fumbled with the settings when I really was confused. So I looked around to see if I could ask anybody else with a slr to help me out. I saw a guy with a nice camera but he was walking too fast, so that failed. Then I saw an old man with a slr but he was so engrossed with a certain flower for a longggg time I decided asking him also. Then I saw another guy with a slr who seemed like he knew what he was doing so I sort of saw which spots he took pictures at and such and then kind of "followed" him but not really. That was when I realized he was taking engagement pictures for a couple! That sent me into a "oh man I can't approach this guy, he's gonna think I'm dumb" mindset. I quickly took this shot from further away while he took a shot much closer up. I felt like a creeper without intentionally trying :( but I like this picture :) They're cute!
Nice view of the family and the city :)
I like genuine laughter :)
